Local dating app Paktor has appointed Asia PR Werkz (APRW) a retainer contract as its PR agency on record following a pitch.
APRW will manage the three brands under Paktor, namely Paktor (the mobile dating app), Gaigai (a bespoke dating agency), Fleek (a new image consultancy firm under Paktor group of companies). APRW will work with Paktor on overall marketing and brand strategy and initiatives, public and media relations, digital and social media.
Paktor, the flagship brand, and is one of the largest mobile dating and social networking brands in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. According to the company it has six million users and 14 million matches a month on its mobile app.
Founded in July 2013, Paktor aims to bring people together- without the pressure. Leveraging on technology on mobile and digital platforms, Paktor creates the opportunity for users to curate who they talk to and who gets to talk to them – and make connections.
“The Paktor family of brands (Paktor, GaiGai, Fleek image) is in the business of matching singles and coaching people to create the best first impression. Hence it is vital for our agency to have an in-depth understanding of our businesses and industry. Asia PR Werkz is able to demonstrate that and shown to be on the same side as Paktor for developing an out-of-box approach towards integrated marketing campaigns,” Shn Juay, regional marketing director of Paktor.
Last year, Paktor added Jose Ruano and Miguel Mangas to the senior leadership team as it looked to go global. It also secured SG$10 million in a series B funding.
