Convergence Ventures is an early stage technology venture fund focused on investing in Indonesia’s digital disruptors. The fund is led by Partners Adrian Li and Donald Wihardja who are seasoned professionals with extensive operating experience in Internet and Mobile businesses in emerging markets. Convergence leverages its industry insights, support services and global network to empower exceptional founders to build disruptive and impactful businesses for Indonesia and the South East Asia region.

Our Approach
We believe that entrepreneurs drive the process of value creation in new businesses and our role is to support them in every way possible in their journey. We look for founders who have deep experience and understanding of the business they are creating together with the passion and tenacity to take it to success. With our operating experience we work in partnership with our founders and their teams to solve the difficult issues – not just the strategy questions in the board room. We also facilitate cross-portfolio knowledge and experience sharing to enhance learning and progress for our community.
Convergence Ventures primarily invests in companies with a focus on Indonesia or expansion strategy for the Indonesia market. Typically we’ll look for business models which have shown successful implementation in more mature technology markets around the world such as the US and China as well. Indonesia with a population of over 250MM people has one of the most attractive emerging market demographics and with over a decade of strong sustainable growth is one of the very promising markets for technology investment today.
We’re a hands on venture firm and coming from an entrepreneurial and operating background we love working alongside our founders. We also build in-house expertise in specific functions such as digital marketing and SEO, talent search and development and product testing to support our portfolio as they develop their businesses.
