Who are the people behind Convergence Ventures?
The fund is led by Partners Adrian Li and Donald Wihardja who are seasoned professionals with extensive operating experience in Internet and Mobile businesses in emerging markets. The Partners have a combined 30+ years of experience working in the technology sector and are deeply connected in the Indonesian startup ecosystem, playing large roles in bridging foreign investors into Indonesia and advising the government.

Convergence Ventures is committed to supporting Portfolio companies with its vast network of large corporates, strategic partners, investors, media and talent. The fund has a growing operational team that helps Founders with recruitment, business development and corporate strategic. Beyond this, our Partners offer tailored support for fund raising efforts when our Founders are seeking to acquire growth capital.

What type of companies does Convergence Ventures invest in?
Convergence Ventures primarily invests in companies with a focus on Indonesia or expansion strategy for the Indonesian market. Typically we’ll look for business models which have shown successful implementation in more mature technology markets around the world such as the US and China as well.
What type of companies does Convergence Ventures not invest in?
Convergence Ventures does not invest in conventional business without a technology backbone, nor in companies with no presence in Indonesia.
What is our investment range / ticket size?
Convergence Ventures offers US$50,000 – US$250,000 initial investment with capability to top-up for follow-on fundraising in later stages.
What materials should I share if I'm looking for fundraise?
In general, the required materials are company’s latest operational metrics, latest financial status, funding histories, and current cap table. We also expect to see any information that is pertinent to your business model.
